Hair Salon on wheels to debut at Las Vegas International Beauty Show
Jeri Cady’s Cadygo Mobile Salons - in partnership with Carson, California-based BusWest – will debut their eye-catching Ford E-350 Starcraft mobile hair, nail and make-up salon at the International Beauty Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday June 18th. The specially outfitted Cadygo-BusWest salon – which retails for $119,900 - is based on Forest River’s popular 24-foot Starcraft Allstar and includes a bespoke hair salon interior courtesy of Ontario, California-based Quality Coach Works.
“I am excited about the upcoming Las Vegas Hair Show, and the official coming out party for my new Salons on Wheels,” said Jeri Cady, President and founder of Salons on Wheels, who can be found at booth 4163 in the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) exhibition hall. Jeri describes her mobile salons “as nothing short of phenomenal, and with all our frills, bells & whistles, you can decorate your salon to suit any floor plan you choose, from hair & nails to facials and manicures.”
The appearance of the BusWest-Cadygo mobile salon at the IBS follows the announcement in April, 2011 of the sale of the first newly designed hair salon on wheels to Newport Beach, California-based cosmetologist – and Russian émigré - Natasha Nekhai, 41, who will take delivery of the first production version of the BusWest-Cadygo salon at the end of June.
The Starcraft Allstar - equipped with Ford’s 5.4-liter V-8 engine - is capable of running on E85 (85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline), pure gasoline or any blend in between. The Allstar chassis is built at Ford’s Avon Lake Assembly Plant in Ohio and the commercial bus body is added at the Starcraft Bus facility in Goshen, Indiana.
The International Beauty Show - a trade show for members of the professional beauty industry – is produced by Questex Media Group LLC and presented by American Salon magazine . The show is located at the 3.2 million square foot Las Vegas Convention Center on Paradise Road in Sin City. Last year the IBS drew over 18,321 beauty professionals including salon and spa owners, hair stylists and colorists, makeup artists, nail technicians, dermatologists, massage therapists and beauty and spa product manufacturers and distributors.
