The Entertainment Electronics Expo, a.k.a. E3, is the world's largest technology and video game convention that takes place every year in Los Angeles, Calif. From June 6 to 9, not only does the UP plan to bring you full coverage, but we'll actually be there.

Every year hundreds of video game developers and technology hardware companies from around the world flock to the L.A. Convention Center to show off their latest and greatest as well as announce products they've kept secret. For the first time ever, the UP has been invited to attend, and we plan to bring you all the inside information we can get our hands on.

Because there is so much going on in the four days of the convention, we've compiled a comprehensive breakdown of what we expect from the big three — Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo — plus some other companies we plan to check out and talk to.

Microsoft

There have been numerous rumors that Microsoft is working on a new Xbox system. They recently had job listings on their website for positions like graphics hardware architect and performance engineers. These jobs are generally needed to work on hardware like consoles. The big question is whether Microsoft is going to reveal their plan at E3 or continue to hint at it without actually coming out and saying it.

Just recently there were rumors that Microsoft may be working on a console that supports 3D technology similar to that of the Nintendo 3DS. This means you would be able to play 3D games without glasses. But there's a catch — you still need a 3D television.

As far as games go, we know for a fact that Halo creator Bungie will not be attending E3 2011. We know that they have been working on a project with Activision, but we probably won't be finding out what that project is just yet.
