In the valley of the moon
The sun hovers on the brink of the hills and suddenly there seems to be two sunsets, in front of you, and then behind. Cameras flush at myriad points but even then it seems the lens cannot catch everything. Perhaps itâs the ambience. A sense of eternity and wonder at natureâs silent work through ages in the shifting landscape set in the mind. Who knows those hills we see today rising above the darkness has set in. Itâs a moonless night and the stars try vainly to reach us with their flickering light. Shadows of the hills make an eerie strange landscape. From somewhere a Bedouin song wafts in. A night in the desert camp, how would it be? But then itâs time to leave.
